In the outskirts of Ethiopia's capital, Addis Ababa, lies Korah. It started  as just a spot near a hospital where people with leprosy gathered looking for help. The wealthy called them “Korah” meaning “cursed” in the Old Testament. But here, people found a place where they belonged. As the city of Addis Ababa expanded, Korah became part of the city's garbage dump and this offered the people precarious means of survival through scavenging.  It is definitely not safe but a way to survive.

Our mission is simple: to give the kids in this area a chance at a brighter future. We want to help them grow into confident, self-sufficient people who see beyond their current surroundings to a life filled with opportunities. Alongside other hard working groups in the area, we're striving to make a big difference here in Korah.
